Apriyani Rahayu and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, the Indonesian women’s doubles badminton pair, have decided to skip the Swiss Open 2025 tournament in Basel, Switzerland on March 18-23. Assistant coach Nitya Krishinda Maheswari stated that they want to further prepare Apri for upcoming tournaments as she has not been able to perform at her best recently. Apriyani and Fadia reunited at the Orleans Masters in early March after Apriyani’s six-month absence due to injury. Despite showing progress, they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by the South Korean pair, Baek Hana and Lee So Hee. They also competed in the All England tournament but were knocked out in the second round by the Malaysian pair. The Indonesian women’s doubles team will be represented by different pairs at the Swiss Open 2025, while Fadia will participate in the mixed doubles event with Dejan Ferdinansyah. The decision to withdraw Apriyani and Fadia was made after careful consideration of their condition and performance evaluation by the coaching staff. Other Indonesian players will represent the country in various categories at the tournament.
