PP PBSI lately made a big overhaul in the main women’s doubles sector by forming four new combinations that will debut on the Asia tour in September. These four fresh pairs consist of Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Lanny Tria Mayasari, Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum, and Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari. The decision was made after thorough evaluations post-Sudirman Cup 2025 and major tournaments like the Indonesia Open Super 1000. The goal is to gather as many points as possible before the season change so that by 2026, these four pairs can compete directly in top-level tournaments without going through qualifiers. This move is expected to breathe new life into Indonesia’s women’s doubles category and increase the chances of achieving success at the elite level.
